Massage Therapy
Millions
of people seek chiropractic care and massage therapy to relieve or prevent pain,
increase mobility and improve well-being. These
two complimentary therapies, especially in combination, form a powerful healing
approach.
Joint
problems are almost always accompanied by tension or injury in your soft tissue:
muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia, the elastic web of connective tissue
that ties your body together.
Tight,
inflamed muscles and fascia suffer from poor circulation and develop glue-like
adhesions which prevent muscles from lengthening completely.
Painful trigger points can develop, often referring pain to other areas
of the body. In extreme cases tight
muscles can compress nerves, causing numbness and tingling.
Our
massage therapists use a variety of techniques to address soft tissue problems.
Gentle kneading and stretching lengthens contracted muscles and fascia
and can release trigger points.
Massage
therapy also increases circulation which helps muscle and ligaments soften and
lengthen. In conjunction with
softening of muscles, improved circulation helps lymphatic drainage (removal of
toxins) and increased blood flow to lower extremities, an important concern for
people suffering with diabetes.
Our
therapists are state certified and promise to deliver the highest level of
service possible. We treat each
patient as an individual and customize their care to best suit their needs.

memory and concentration, sharpens the intellect, and steadies the emotions to

a deeper level, the practice of yoga leads to self-awareness and moksha,
or “liberation.”

Infrared Light (Cold
Laser) Therapy
Infrared light therapy has been
cleared by the FDA to provide topical heating for temporary increased blood
circulation, temporary relief of minor muscle and joint aches, and pain and
stiffness of muscles. Treatment is
painless and only takes a few minutes.
Infrared light stimulates cells at the molecular level.
The light stimulates absorption in the Mitochondria and Cell membranes
and increases ATP, DNA and RNA synthesis. This
chemical reaction translates into reduced swelling, increased tissue repair and
pain relief.
At the Innovative Wellness Center we incorporate Infrared light therapy and
other innovative techniques to treat a broad range of conditions and help
maximize each patient’s quality of life.

Nutritional
Counseling
Nutritional
deficiencies rob the body of its own natural resources and can manifest as
symptoms such as fatigue, mood swings, and insomnia. Many times, these symptoms
are taken for granted as a natural sign of aging. When left unchecked, however,
these same deficiencies can contribute to diseases such as high blood pressure,
heart disease, high cholesterol, gastro-intestinal disorders, diabetes, and
osteoporosis. And not to be ignored, the alarming rise of obesity in this country is directly
connected to poor eating habits.
Nutritional
counseling will provide you with specific information that is tailored to your
individualized wellness needs. Our goal is to help you under- stand which foods, vitamins, herbs,
and lifestyle changes can lead you to optimal health and the highest quality of
life.
